I just watched the wonderful film
The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie. I have not seen a lot of Dame Maggie Smith's films (Sister Act and Sister Act II, anyone?), but let me say this is her at her best. She plays an unorthodox, wildly exuberant teacher "in her prime" at a girls school in Scotland in the 1930s who has some strange teaching ideas and is adored by her students, the Brodie Girls.
"I am in the business of putting old heads on young shoulders and all my pupils are the creme de la creme!" The scenery and costumes are really terrific as well.

And look at the movie poster!

I just bumped this up in my queue. If only we could watch it together! The next movie I'm getting is Joan Crawford's final film, a notoriously campy monster movie called "Trog." I'll let you know if it's worthwhile.
