Mess Mates

I love the concept and simple styling behind the "Mess Mates" story from the September Issue of The World of Interiors, shot by photographer Bill Batten.  Sometimes a simple concept, like dip dyed fabric in various colors, is all you need to make a compelling trend story. Well done!

AANDD

I'm really liking this awesome Sea Bag by AANDD. Navy cowhide leather and waxed canvas, simple design and great rope handles. And it would certainly make a lovely travel bag for weekend escapes.

Desired: Miansai

Spotted these cool Miansai bracelets over at All Plaidout. Great looking stuff that has a sporty and nautical feel, without being overly so. Very summer.

Country Road

I discovered a new Australian lifestyle brand today called Country Road. I can't really think of a US equivalent...kind of a Gap meets West Elm. Browsing their website, they have some nice homewares and some great Men's accessories. But for the most part, very clean-lined and simple stuff, but very appealing.

Lillian Darling

Remember Lillian Vernon? The catalog of all things novelty & tacky & personalized. I was in loveeee with that catalog as a child. Well turns out they actually have some classic stuff, like this leather card case/money clip. Oh, and it's $8.

How bout a flask for $13?

Or a personalized bottle opener for $6

Inspired By: Sam Logan

It was love at first sight when I saw this accessory story in the September issue of OUT styled by Sam Logan. What an amazing job of prop styling and creating such a dynamic, visually interesting story from new and vintage objects.

I went in search of some more of Sam's styling work, and it is equally impressive.
