Tonight is the start of the 2010 Winter Olympics and I couldn't be more excited. The Olympics have always been something I really, really enjoyed. I literally spent hours as a child drawing Olympic logos and building my own Olympic Village out of blocks. I remember getting this great book for Christmas one year and reading it endlessly. I also adore the opening ceremony, since it combines theatrics, design, culture and entertainment. My heart literally races when I think about it. What I also love is the fantastic design and branding of each games from the logo, to posters, to the medals to design of venues.
The medals are each unique and are cast from re-used circuit boards.
