Happy Thanksgiving

It's my favorite holiday of the year, and a chance to relish fantastic tablescapes. Here's one from the Monkey Flower Group made of twig trees, acorns and sweetgum seedpods that's simple and chic, just how I like em. Happy Thanksgiving!

Friday Flowers

Two quick arrangements I made from flowers from the market.

Be Mine- Flowers

So Valentine's day is fast approaching, and I think the only thing one needs are some great flowers and perhaps a nice meal. Here are some fantastic flowers from Martha Stewart. *Speaking of Martha, I'm going to a taping of her show on Thursday!

Wrapped Up

Christmas Day is almost upon us, but wanted to share some of the gift wrapping from this year and some festive floral arrangements. Enjoy and Merry Christmas!

A nice Christmas-y plaid paper, red satin bow and fresh evergreens looks so sharp. Also used some artificial berries on the package in the back.

For my nephew's presents, I used a bright lime green paper, a fun grosgrain ribbon and a big christmas bulb. Kind of a subtle interpretation of Christmas.

More line green and grosgrain, this time with a plastic snowflake with marigold flowers I made into an ornament. I like the idea of having a little extra something to adorn a package.

A simple little arrangement in a small red glazed clay pot. I love the contrast of red roses with pine cones and greens.

And another slightly larger, with christmas bulbs and some fake berries.

Arrangin'

So sometimes I just like to make a flower arrangement. Nothin fancy, just a little something to brighten up the apartment. For this, I took a few fall colored bunches I got at the grocery store and put them in a small milkglass container, adding some of the leaves from the the roses as well. And thats all it takes.

Artfool...Uh Wow!

Artfool is an event design company that creates some truly incredible events. It's no surprise that they have worked with Martha and been featured in pretty much every bridal magazine. I think their centerpieces and tablescapes are some of the most amazing I have ever seen. Seriously gorgeous!

Enjoyable: Easter

Can I just say that I love Easter? When I was growing up, my Mom and Grandmother would always go all out for Easter... amazing Easter dinner with a perfectly set table, tons of decorations, eggs, hand-painted chicks. We even had a tiny village of Egg-shaped houses that lit up that I would personally set up. Now, I'm very much into these marbleized eggs from Martha Stewart Living. I missed out on making them this year, but there's always next year. 

Also, this Martha Stewart for 1-800 Flowers arrangement is really charming.
