200
One of my all time favorite interior shots. Domino, September 2008
This post marks my 200th here at A Tall Drink. What a journey it has been since I randomly started this blog back in October 2007. I didn't really have a clear mission or intent, I just knew I wanted to talk about some cool things from time to time (Early posts ranged from Topman to Divas to PBS). It wasn't until over a year later that I discovered what I was really passionate about and what A Tall Drink would become. Simply put, this blog is a true reflection of me and the things that I enjoy more than anything else. An edited collection of my design style & taste and the way I want my surroundings to look and feel. It's objects, decor, fashion, art and places I find beautiful and the components that make up the styling of one's life. I hope you've all enjoyed taking a drink. -Logan

Carriage House
I love the Carriage House of David Jimenez. (David has a portfolio of this space decorated with a Modern theme and a Classic. Images from the Classic are below.) Great color palette, great details.
I really like the abundance of lamps and frames. It just seems to work.
I love this bed and chair!

Clever Chevron
I've never been totally crazy about Chevron stripes, but I was totally impressed when I came across this example over at Sabbespot. It's made using just contact paper. Kind of genius! (but dont use on drywall)

* Also, just discovered the deer head was also DIY'd. It was a resin head that was spray painted white. Another great idea that is cheap but looks a million bucks!

Restored
Restoration Hardware has gotten quite a makeover, as chronicled over at Apartment Therapy. The new stuff is looking good to me.

Nimis

This is AMAZING. A giant wooden structure called Nimis (meaning "too much" in Latin), built by ONE man in a nature preserve in Sweden. MUST SEE THIS in person some day.

Kentucky Home
Check out the Lexington, Kentucky home of Fashion Designers Mark Badgley and James Mischka. This is sooo right up my alley... very stately and traditional, yet charming.

Wrapped Up
No Way! Furniture that looks like brown paper packages! The "paper" is actually fabric and the package itself is made of soft foam. This is totally amazing. I would love to see these used as auxiliary seating in a modern space or even as an ottoman or coffee table.

Artfool...Uh Wow!

Artfool is an event design company that creates some truly incredible events. It's no surprise that they have worked with Martha and been featured in pretty much every bridal magazine. I think their centerpieces and tablescapes are some of the most amazing I have ever seen. Seriously gorgeous! images: artfool.com

Creators Inn

The Creators Inn is this fantastic new hotel within a hotel in Stockholm which is meant to be a place for traveling creators to stay in. I think it's really fresh and fun and is kind of a great idea. The room certainly looks like it would belong to a person in a creative field.images: creatorsinn.com

Styled Up

This weekend I did a prop styling test shoot with my friend Josh. I'm quite pleased with the results, and had a blast doing the shoot.

Beach Shack

Isn't this the most charming little beach house? It's on the Isle of Wight in the UK, and it looks like the perfect escape. I love the oar curtain rod with the union jack and the mellow, simple feel.image: apartmenttherapy.com
